One of my favorite places to stop after a hike in the Blue Ridge Mountains is Pisgah Brewing Company to enjoy a cool beverage and a short walk on their grounds, where you can see their rambling hop vines reaching toward the sun. Gracefully illustrating the natural beauty and vibrancy of hops, this illustration details the strobiles of the plant Humulus Lupulus, the bittering, stabilizing agent in beer production.

The soft golden hues alongside the earthy green leaves create an elegant scientific study.
